Privacy Policy

Actify is jointly developed and operated by Hustler Inc LLC (Portland, Oregon, USA) and Byteonica AI Technologies Private Limited (Jaipur, Rajasthan, India), collectively "we," "us," or "our." Both act as joint data controllers and are collectively responsible for how your personal data is handled.
1. Data We Collect
Account data: email address, hashed password, authentication tokens.
Profile data: resume and CV files, work history, education, skills, certifications, credentials, awards, and projects.
Job application data: saved jobs, application status, notes, recruiter contacts, and company information.
Email content: if you connect an email account for interview tracking, we access it to identify job-related emails and extract structured fields (interview dates, contacts, application status). We access only job-related emails and do not store raw content on our servers beyond session processing. Revoke access any time in Settings.
AI conversation data: career agent conversations stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your account.
Usage data: feature interactions, error logs, crash reports, app version, OS, and automation task logs.
Payment data: collected and processed by our third-party payment processor. We store only a non-sensitive payment token and subscription status.

3. AI Processing
We send relevant profile data and job descriptions to the third-party AI provider you select in App settings to generate content. Those providers' privacy policies govern their use of that data. We use providers that do not train on customer data by default. Verify their current policies before use.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data.
We share data with third-party providers only as needed to operate the App:
- Cloud infrastructure: authentication, storage, database, hosting
- Payment processor: billing
- AI / LLM providers: content generation (profile and job data you choose to process)
- Analytics and crash reporting: diagnostics
Between Hustler and Byteonica. Data is shared between both entities as needed to develop, operate, and support the App. Both are joint controllers bound by this policy.
Legal disclosures. We may disclose data when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, in compliance with US and Indian law.
Business transfers. If either company is acquired or merges, your data may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance.
5. Joint Controller Arrangement
Hustler Inc LLC and Byteonica AI Technologies Private Limited are joint data controllers under GDPR Article 26 and equivalent laws. We maintain a written arrangement covering data subject request handling, breach notification, security responsibilities, and regulatory cooperation. You may exercise your rights against either entity.
6. Cross-Border Transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in the United States and India. EEA/UK transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms. Indian user data processed by Byteonica is subject to the DPDP Act 2023 and may be transferred internationally as permitted by Indian law. By using the App, you consent to processing in both countries.
7. Local Storage
Actify stores data locally on your device including conversations, cached jobs, and profile data. This is not accessible to us unless cloud sync is enabled. Clear it by uninstalling the App or through data management settings.

9. Security
We use TLS for data in transit, least-privilege access controls, and rotating authentication tokens. No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect your account is compromised, contact actify@actify-ai.com immediately.
10. Your Rights
All users: access and export profile data, correct inaccuracies, delete account, opt out of marketing.
EEA / UK (GDPR): portability, restrict or object to processing, complaint to your supervisory authority. Legal basis: contract performance, legitimate interests, or consent as applicable.
California (CCPA): know what data is collected, delete it, opt out of sale (we don't sell), non-discrimination.
India (DPDP Act 2023): access summary of data processed, correction and erasure, grievance redressal within 30 days, nominate a representative, withdraw consent.

11. Children
Actify is not for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors and will delete it if discovered. Email actify@actify-ai.com if you believe we have.
12. Changes
We notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect via in-app notice or email.
